The BAr BAzAAr
The BAr BAzAAr is a live music series presented by Good Tunes at Mirrorball Ministries in the heart of West End. Each event offers a different musical adventure, bringing together exceptional local, national and international artists in a relaxed, welcoming space where audiences can experience live music up close.
No two BAr BAzAArs are the same. Across the series you’ll find everything from Irish, Italian and Brazilian music to community singing, original contemporary folk, acoustic guitar, singer-songwriters and unexpected musical collaborations. Every concert celebrates a different culture, style or creative idea, making each event a unique experience.
The series is artist-led, with support from David De Santi and Good Tunes. For more than 40 years, David has been presenting folk concerts, festivals and community music events across Australia, and continues to champion live music in Brisbane. His passion is to introduce audiences to outstanding artists they may not otherwise discover, creating opportunities for musicians to connect with new listeners while encouraging people to explore music beyond the familiar.
More than just a gig, BAr BAzAAr is about bringing people together through music. It’s a place to discover new artists, reconnect with old favourites, join in where you can, and enjoy an intimate evening of great performances, good company and the shared joy of live music.
25 June 2026 – The BAr BAzAAr – Amaidí & Blue Stockings
A special evening celebrating Irish and Australian folk music, featuring the farewell Brisbane performance of Amaidí before their European tour, joined by the energetic folk duo Blue Stockings.

An afternoon celebrating the vibrant music of Brazil, featuring Ali Oliveira & Friends performing samba, MPB and bossa nova, alongside Roda de Choro, showcasing one of Brazil’s richest acoustic traditions.

24 September 2026 – Michael Fix & The Fixations • Small Town Surrender • Dead Song Society
An evening of exceptional live music featuring the debut of Michael Fix & The Fixations, the soulful songs of Small Town Surrender, and Dead Song Society, a joyful community singing experience hosted by Pipin where everyone learns and sings two pop songs together. A warm, welcoming night celebrating connection, creativity and great acoustic music.

29 October 2026 – Ars Nova Napoli (Italy) • Italian Tunes Session
Experience the sounds of southern Italy with Ars Nova Napoli on their first Australian tour, bringing their infectious blend of traditional Neapolitan music and contemporary Nu Folk to West End. The evening begins with an open Italian tunes session led by David De Santi before the band delivers an unforgettable performance full of rhythm, passion and Mediterranean energy.

26 November 2026 – The BUgEtte is Back
The BUgEtte returns, proudly presented by the volunteers of Brisbane Unplugged Gigs (The BUg). First launched in August 2025, the BUgEtte was created to celebrate both emerging and established acoustic artists, providing an intimate and welcoming space where audiences can discover exceptional live music and musicians can connect with new listeners.
